In the near future, scientists create what may be a new form of life: an artificial human named Charlotte. All goes well until Charlotte escapes, transfers her consciousness to the Internet, and begins terrorizing the American public.

Charlotte's attacks have everyone on high alert—everyone except Lee Fisher, the closeted son of the US president. Lee has other things to worry about, like keeping his Secret Service detail from finding out about his crush on Nico, the eccentric, Shakespeare-obsessed new boy at school. And keeping Nico from finding out about his recent suicide attempt. And keeping himself from freaking out about all his secrets.

But when the attacks start happening at his school, Lee realizes he's Charlotte’s next target. Even worse, Nico may be part of Charlotte’s plan too.

As Lee races to save himself, uncover Charlotte’s plan, and figure out if he can trust Nico, he comes to a whole new understanding of what it means to be alive ... and what makes life worth living.

4 Stars

So I just read this book and it was really, really awesome so I kind of just want to share it with you guys! You know, since I can’t post my full review just yet. The reasons you should read it?

~ An LGBT romance for the MC in a Sci-Fi book!!
YES, I know, that’s awesome! I have never seen that before. Sure, there are LGBT side characters every now and then, but the main character almost never is. And to have a real romance for him, that’s just awesome! And it was so sweet and perfect too!

~ I flew through the pages and was nail-biting almost the whole time. (when I wasn’t swooning for the romance)
I cannot believe how fast I went through this book. It’s 370 pages and I read it in, like, 4 hours. Which is fast. And it was so intense, I was nail-biting throughout most of it.

~ But that ending…
There better be more. The story isn’t finished yet so I hope the author continues the story soon!

    • It’s not really a cliffhanger, more like an open ending. There’s still a lot of story and unanswered questions left. XD The author did say there will be more of these characters, just probably not anytime soon =/
