Welcome to the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews, which gives bloggers the opportunity to connect with each other.
Today’s topic is perfect because I collect quite a few things. Over the course of my life I’ve collected stamps (from the post office), nail polishes, Pokemon cards (which I still have), but as of writing this, I collect–
Books, of course!
I just love books. Sometimes the U.K. editions are too beautiful to pass up, so I’ll save up for a few that catch my eye. On the rarer cases, there are the editions you’ll sometimes find in books boxes.
Funko Pops
I started getting the little Pop figures at conventions a few years ago and never expected my collection to get as big as it is. Most of them are on my desk at work but there are a few in my house.
Pressed pennies
I don’t know if they have them overseas, but in a lot of touristy places here in the U.S., they have pressed penny machines where you pay 51 cents to get a novelty souvenir pressed penny.
Band t-shirts
I always try to resist, but for every concert featuring a musical group, I have to get a t-shirt.
What do you collect?

I only have one fuko pop, not really a fan of them. I used to collect press pennies. I even have the booklets to put them in.
I keep my pressed pennies in pressed penny folders.
Currently I collect books but sometimes fossil hunt.
Awesome!
I do have some pressed pennies scattered in my junk drawer, come to think of it. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/07/wc-071520.html
I keep mine in those pressed penny “folders” but I know I have some in a clothes drawer and my wallet, too.
Wow, I have funko pops too, a few. LOL Band T-shirts I have lots from my radio DJ days, usually signed by the band. The shirts are now packed away in a box for safe keeping. Thanks for sharing. Here’s mine. https://www.tenastetler.com/things-i-collect-lsr-wednesdayblogchallenge/
Funko Pops are absolutely brilliant. 😆
That’s so cool about the signed t-shirts.
ROFL! I have a thing with the Funko Pops as well! I always wanted band t-shirts but was rarely able to afford to go to the concerts, let alone buy a shirt while I was there. Now, whenever one of my girls goes to a show, I make sure to give them money for a t-shirt!
My post.
I can’t resist Funko Pops. 🤣 I only buy ones for fandoms I’m in but that gets me in so much trouble.
Good plan with the t-shirts.
Yes to books!!!! I used to have a massive collection, but I’m now down to only five bookcases. 🙂 Great post!
Thanks, Mary!
I have successfully resisted the Funko Pops and my band shirts are generally more impulse buys, but books? Oh, yeah. Plus a few other things.
My list is here.
Resist as much as you can, Michael.

I had to restrain myself from collecting the Funko Pops. I have a few Doctor Who and Supernatural, but there are so many that I’d like to buy! I want them all! It would really damage my wallet! lol
My wallet has hated me whenever I was at a convention and I found Pop booths. 🤣 I’m in too many fandoms so I have to find as many as I can.
We have pressed pennies, too. I put them in the picture frames with Tot to remember where we’ve gone. I also collect Funkos and books. 🙂
Alright! I keep mine in those pressed penny “folders” that are sold at souvenir shops. 😃

=I used to collect pressed pennies, too! How many band t-shirts do you think you own?
My post.
I must have about 20 or so. I have to count them.
My middle daughter used to collect band t shirts.. especially from Indie bands. I admit, I had to google funko pops.. but when I did, I recognized them! My youngest daughter has a lot of those 🙂 My post is http://jhthomas.blogspot.com/2020/07/wednesday-weekly-blogging-challenge_15.html if you want to come by!
🙂 I am weak for Funko Pops. I wanted to add a picture but my photos weren’t loading. Thanks for stopping by!
