Also by this author: When Dimple Met Rishi, From Twinkle, With Love
A laugh-out-loud, heartfelt YA romantic comedy, told in alternating perspectives, about two Indian-American teens whose parents have arranged for them to be married.
Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?
Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself.
The Shahs and Patels didn’t mean to start turning the wheels on this “suggested arrangement” so early in their children’s lives, but when they noticed them both gravitate toward the same summer program, they figured, Why not?
Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But when opposites clash, love works hard to prove itself in the most unexpected ways.
Why I’m waiting: It sounds adorable and diverse and swoony and fun and I want it. I’ve heard great things about this one so far so I’m hoping for a copy of my own soon!

Why I’m waiting: Fantasy! I read DeStefano’s Chemical Garden series and I enjoyed it, especially her writing. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

I’m looking forward to both of these, too! When Dimple Met Rishi seems to be getting rave reviews from everyone; I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy (plus, it has one of my favorite 2017 covers). I’ve enjoyed Lauren DeStefano’s writing in the past, and I always love a good YA fantasy, so The Glass Spare sounds great, too.

I’m excited for both of these. Mostly for When Dimple Met Rishi though. I don’t read a lot of contemporary but this just sounds good and the diversity!!
I haven’t gone around all of Lauren deStefano’s books. I’ve only read Wither and Perfect Ruin and I thought that the concepts were really good but I never got a chance to grab the prequels and they just grew out on me. Picking up a new book form her would definitely be good 😀

It so does!! And I haven’t read any Lauren DeStefano books yet. Shame on me. xD
