Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish
Hi there gorgeous readers! I started blogging in May of 2011 and I’ve read many books after that! So here are my favorites from May 2011 to May 2012.
Die for Me by Amy Plum – Is a story of revenants, immortal beings with a compulsion of saving lives and the innocent girl that falls in love with one of them. Great series!
Clarity by Kim Harrington – Is a contemporary novel with a psychic twist of a girl that has visions when she touches an object and how she uses that gift to help others.
The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa – I LOVE the Iron Fey series with a passion and this was the perfect ending to the series. Love you Ash!!!!
The Goddess Test by Aimée Carter – The start of a series based on the Greek myth of Persephone and Hades that stole my heart.
The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross – Steampunk-X-Men-meets-The League of Extraordinary Gentelmen. Yep, that awesome.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor – Wow! This is still one of my favorite books, so unique, full of magic, tragedy, love, and such beautiful writing.
Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock – This is probably one of the least know YA series, but I happen to love it. It’s the story of D.J. and her family that owns a dairy farm. It’s about sports, about love, family and friendship.
The Probability of Miracles by Wendy Wunder – Is the heartbreaking story of a teen with cancer, the family that loves her and hopes for the best and the determination to live.
The Fault In Our Stars by John Green – You know, right?
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins – Is the start of the Sweet series, a story of angels, demons and the fight of good an evil.
Have you read any of these? What’s in your top ten this week?

These are great! I love these throwback lists, it’s so fun to see what everyone loved wayyy back in the day! I read both TFIOS and Die for Me around the same time you did- and yep, I loved them both too! I wasn’t blogging yet, but those are definitely some of the books that started me on my path toward it. Fabulous list!

So many authors I was once interested in! Among them were Julie Kagawa, Aimée, and Kady. In fact I own the book you feature from Kady, so perhaps I’ll dig that one off in the not-too-distant future and give it a read. Well, depending on if my TBR pile allows for it. 🙂
TFIOS was a story I read prior to watching the DVD, and surprisingly (for me), I did like it.
Of these I’ve read The Fault In Our Stars and Daughter of Smoke and Bone, TFIOS I hated, but DOSAB, I enjoyed a lot more.

Too bad you didn’t like TFIOS, but I get that it’s not for everyone. I adore Laini Taylor’s writing 🙂
OMG YES THE IRON FEY SERIES! This used to be my JAM and I adored the whole world and the characters and how easy it was to read omg! I also used to adore the Shatter Me series at this time, BUT I still love it now (because it really is the best!)

The Iron Fey series IS the best! Don’t shoot me, but I haven’t read the Shatter Me series 🙁
Aww, Liza, what a rockin’ list! TFIOS broke me so much. But I loved it. 😂
DOSAB of course has a special place in my heart. From the very first line, I knew it was special.

I agree with you Leah. I was reading TFIOS while recovering from surgery and I cried to hard I though I was going to have to go to the hospital! I can laugh about it now…
There are so many books on here that I read early on in my YA “career”. I loved Die for Me and DoSaB and The Goddess Test.
Great list!!

Yes to The Fault In Our Stars, that made my list. I waited a little while to read The Daughter of Smoke and Bone but it was one of my favorites.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone – so glad I waited to binge read the series together. Such a cool concept and an interesting read!

I’m glad you liked it Sara and that you didn’t have to wait like me for each book 🙂

Oh I love Daughter of Smoke and Bone and TFIOS!! Of course for TFIOS.😂 I read that just when I was starting off my blog as a book blog and ajfdksald it really impacted me and nearly made me cry. I’d also like to read the Iron Fey series! I own a few books in the series but not the first…which is entirely unhelpful.😂

The first book in the Iron Fey series, is the only one I actually have and you’re welcome to it. Email me if you’d like.

I have them all, thanks Hope 🙂

Nearly? I cried like a baby with TFIOS! I adore the Fey series because of Ash, such a swoon worthy book boyfriend 🙂
Dairy Queen made my list too. Loved it! I adored the Iron Fey books and was so sad when it all ended. Such a great world! I have 4 of those books, but still haven’t read them. You have me wanting to check out The Goddess Test though.

Yay! Someone else that read it 🙂 I understand, I probably own more books that I will be able to read, like ever!

I loved Sweet Evil when I read it but I never got around to reading the rest of the series. I’ve had The Iron Fey, The Girl in the Steel Corset, and Daughter of Smoke and Bone on my TBR for forever but I still haven’t gotten around to reading any of them.

The Sweet series was good, the last book a bit cheesy, but still worth it. Go for Daughter first!
Nice list! It’s so fun seeing all the books from 2011 through to 2013 on people’s blogs this week, I feel like I’m reliving the time when women in ballgowns were all that graced the cover of a YA book.

Ha, ha, ha, that’s so true 🙂
Should I be ashamed that the only book I’ve read from this list is The Fault in Our Stars, and that I didn’t really love it?

Of course not!
