{Top Ten Tuesday} Books of Summer

Posted June 2, 2020 by Leah in Memes & Features, Top 10 Tuesday / 18 Comments

Happy Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

I don’t know about you, but when I think of summer reads, I think of FLUFF. I think of ROMANCE. It’s something light-hearted and breezy to get the summer going. Here’s a mix of books I think fit the bill (although This One Summer is the more serious entry). Enjoy!

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams

The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord

The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang

This One Summer by Jillian and Mariko Tamaki

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills

What books remind you of summer?

  1. I also look for light and fun reads, and I see some of my faves up there. Tweet Cute – so appropriately named, and anything by Emma Mills fits.

Yes, summer is a time for some fluffier reads, and sometimes one or two more serious books. So, maybe some romance type books and maybe a pirate one later? Who knows, I am working my way through my TBR pile it could happen. Pirates are summer reads, as is books set in summer.

  3. Yaas, I love so many of these picks even though I haven’t read many of them haha 😍 but they definitely give off those summer vibes and I’m looking forward to reading them hopefully in the near future! Great list 🙂

I think this is why I have a problem when it comes to coming up with summery reads, fluffy romance is just not my thing! I’m glad you enjoyed all of these though 🙂

All the fluffy romance really fit into summer readings. I should definitely get into The Bromance Book Club and Tweet Cute soon!
