The Top Ten Tuesday meme is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl
Hi there gorgeous readers! I’m not sure that I’ll make it all the way to 10 bookish goals, but I shall try my best 🙂
Be more selective with the books I request/accept for review – In the last year, my reading time has been very limited, therefore, I need to be sure that I get to the book and that I’m pretty darn interested in reading it.
Write my reviews faster – Before I forget the details of what I read! Maybe I should change my writing style to be shorter?
Be better at organizing my TBR list – Besides Goodreads, I need to keep a list of the books I plan to read every month instead of just reading whatever when the mood strikes. I did started a list last year (also when I started by bullet journal), but I didn’t stick to it.
Spend less money on books – Yes, I’m blessed to get a lot of ARCs and eBooks from publishers, but I still buy a lot of books. I probably have enough book to read for the rest of my life without buying another one (I am NOT exaggerating!)
Answer comments faster – So sorry! I promise I don’t do it on purpose, I just get so busy with other things that I end up answering comments several days after they were made.
Be more active in social media – I need to make it a point to be more social in Twitter and specially in Instagram. I would love to get better at taking pictures that look more professional.
I think that is quite enough for a year, right? What are some of your bookish goals?

I also need to write my reviews in a more timely manner. I keep procrastinating and delaying until I have a mound of reviews to write. I’ve been struggling lately with changing my review format, too.

Have you find one that works for you? I tend to be very wordy and the longer I wait to write a review, the less I remember of the details 🙂

I liked the way I formatted some of my older reviews, and then I got in a kink that they weren’t good enough and now I’m doing the very wordy, long thing too.
Here’s what I was doing:

I like it!
I’m going to try to read more books that are not YA (I said this last year and…was not very successful). Also, try to read more of the books I buy. Those poor unread books. 🙂
These are good goals. I know the feeling about buying more books. I could go the whole year without buying another most likely and still have some left to read.

I know sometimes it’s hard to get to comments which is sad, because I love commenting back so much. I’ve managed to keep on top of it but I don’t always get to do it daily. Nice list of goals – good luck!
These are great goals – And I totally agree about not buying more books but…. they are just so irresistible though! However it would be nice to have more space around the house too lol. Best of luck!
The worst thing I do is let my reviews pile up. Right now my “must-review” is at zero, and I would like to keep it that way. My reviews are always better when I write them as soon as I finish the book and before I finish the next book, since I am all about how the book made me feel. I have such love-hate relationship with social media. There are things I love, like the fabulous Twitter convo I was in yesterday about fave authors, and the things I don’t. I am looking for more balance, I guess, when it comes to that. Good luck with all your goals!
I so agree with you on writing reviews faster! I’ve fallen out of writing reviews into a bit of a reviewless funk, so this is something I definitely need to do in 2018, too. Best of luck with all of your goals!
