{Top Ten Tuesday} Authors I’ve Read the Most Books By

Posted July 7, 2020 by Leah in Memes & Features, Top 10 Tuesday / 20 Comments

Hello, and welcome back to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Today’s Top Ten is for the authors we’ve read the most books by. Self explanatory: I tell you about the authors and then tell you how many of their works I’ve read. These are the authors who quickly came to mind so I might be missing someone. Also, for obvious reasons, authors who only have a debut are not featured. My list my small but mighty and I hope you enjoy!

EDITED: I honestly cannot believe I forgot Leigh Bardugo. She’s here now. 🙂

Laini Taylor

(Of course my queen is here! I honest to goodness would read her shopping list!)

Books Read: the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy; the Strange the Dreamer duology; Lips Touch Three Times.

Still have to read: the Blackbringer books; Night of Cake and Puppets

Leigh Bardugo

(My other queen. And I forgot her. *sigh*)

Books Read: Shadow and Bone; Siege and Storm; Ruin and Rising; The Language of Thorns; Six of Crows; Crooked Kingdom; Wonder Woman: Warbringer; King of Scars

Still have to read: Ninth House

Silvia Moreno-Garcia

(Silvia’s book Gods of Jade and Shadow caught my eye last year, so imagine my surprise when I found out she’s been publishing for years. Since then, I have done my best to catch up on her work)

Books Read: Gods of Jade and Shadow; Certain Dark Things; Mexican Gothic; The Beautiful Ones

Still have to read: her short story anthologies (if I can find them); Signal to Noise; Untamed Shore

Katherine Arden

(Katherine Arden’s lyrical writing and magical world building guarantees I’ll read all her books)

Books Read: the Winternight trilogy; Small Spaces

Still have to read: Dead Voices

Tahereh Mafi

(Tahereh’s way with words is hit or miss for people; for me, it’s a hit.)

Books Read: the first three books in the Shatter Me series; A Very Large Expanse of Sea; Furthermore

Still have to read: the next three books in the Shatter Me series

Roshani Chokshi

(Roshani’s a bubbly, funny person. Her worlds take you to magical places.)

Books Read: The Star-Touched Queen; A Crown of Wishes; Aru Shah and the End of Time; The Gilded Wolves

Still have to read: even though I wasn’t a fan of TGW, I’ll read The Silvered Serpents; not sure if I’ll be continuing the Aru Shah series

Renee Ahdieh

(Renee’s books are interesting: some [The Wrath and the Dawn] were wins! Others [The Beautiful; Flame in the Mist] were not. I’m still going to support her because I see the possibility of more growth)

Books Read: The Wrath and the Dawn; The Rose and the Dagger; the Wrath and the Dawn enovellas; Flame in the Mist; The Beautiful

Still have to read: Even though my thoughts on The Beautiful are…many, I’ll be reading The Damned, The Beautiful‘s sequel

Whose books have you read the most of?

  1. I’ve read 2 books by Silvia Moreno-Garcia but she has quickly gotten a favourite author spot. I really need to hunt down some of her other books. I’m glad some of her books are being rereleased next year!

Right? I’m hoping Certain Dark Things gets reprinted because it’s so underrated and needs a bigger audience.

I’ve only read one of Roshani Chokshi’s books, it was actually The Gilded Wolves and I really enjoyed it, sorry that you didn’t! I’ve read a few of Laini Taylor’s books but she’s not up there with my most read authors.

  3. I probably have at least half of these authors on my “wanna try” list haha. Moreno- Garica in particular, and Mafi as well.
