Stacking the Shelves #122

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews in which we feature all the book goodness that we received, borrowed or purchased during the previous week. All links are to Goodreads.

Hi there my gorgeous readers! Long time no see…

Hubby and I went to Puerto Rico for a few days last week (thus my short absence from the internets).  It was the first time we left the kids by themselves for more than a day and it was a bit nerve wracking, but they did great and I think they appreciate mom and dad more now 🙂  In Puerto Rico, we visited with family, eat plenty of things that we can only find there and did a bit of tourism. Here are some pictures for you!

I’ve finally caught up on my Goodreads challenge and I’m ever so happy.  Please be warned that I’m traveling a lot for business, starting this week and ending in the middle of June, with BEA thrown in at the end of May for good measure.  I will try to schedule as many posts as I can and I’m bringing my new baby laptop with me too.  I adore my regular laptop, but it’s over 17″ in diameter and quite heavy.  The new baby one is only 13″ and weights about 3.4 lbs.  Much easier to carry about and I love the polka dot carrier I got too 🙂

Talking about BEA, I’m starting my schedule this week and I cannot wait to get there!!! If you are going to BEA, please let me know and be sure to say hi, I might have a treat and a handmade bookmark for you 🙂

Good News!

As you might remember I have been looking for a reviewer and Zoe has joined the team to help me out.  Meet and welcome Zoe to Reading with ABC!

hat Zoe

Hey there! I’m Zoe. As a not-yet-adult, I am very personally invested in fostering quality young adult books; I prefer fiction with realistic characters, which is pretty rare in YA. I like anything having to do with words, especially reading, writing and languages, and also really enjoy cupcakes, women’s soccer, theatre, laughing, dumb Internet quizzes and zodiac signs.

Stacking the Shelves

Purchased for Kindle

Sweet by Tammara Webber – No need to ask, right?

The Mistake by Elle Kennedy – I loved The Deal and I cannot wait to read Logan’s story 🙂

saint anything

Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen – I sure love Dessen’s books. I’m not feeling this cover though…

immortal heights

The Immortal Heights by Sherry Thomas – Oh my goodness!  By the time you read this on Saturday, I will probably be already done with this book, I’m 70% done as I write this and I cannot wait.  I’m loving it SO MUCH!

a madness so discreet

A Madness So Discreet by Mindy McGinnis – I love McGinnis Not a Drop to Drink and this one sounds so different and I can’t get over the awesomeness of this cover.

Devoted by Jennifer Mathieu – I cannot get over this cover…  I didn’t read The Truth About Alice, but I know it has great reviews.  I hope Devoted is as good as it sounds 🙂

Yes! Individual covers because they are all beautiful!!!

What’s stacking your shelves this week?

Before I forget, for all the mamas out there:  Happy Mother’s Day tomorrow!!!
