Liza’s STS

Hi there gorgeous people!  Another hectic week comes to an end and I’m so very glad.  This week is “tax free” week in Maryland, so as we speak and off shopping with the boys, which is not as fun as it sounds.  For some unfathomable reason, men – even the younger version of them – don’t like to shop. But, alas, they have no choice since they need clothes for the start of school on the 25th.

This afternoon “B” and I are going to a book signing and I will tell you all about it next week.  In other news hubby applied for retirement for the Air Force and it was approved!  That means that he will retire in August of next year, I know that it’s still a year away, but I can’t wait!

Arianne is enjoying summer and took a bit of time off so you’re stuck with me (and Valerie) this week 🙂

Purchased Books

The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima – I read this one years ago and now “B” is reading it.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner – I got this one to see what all the hype is about 🙂

Purchased for Kindle

all lined up

All Lined Up by Cora Carmack  – This was on sale this week and I haven’t heard anything but great things about it.

Purchased for Audible

Maybe Someday by Coleen Hoover – I listened to this one already and I have to say that it was pretty good.  Review coming next week 🙂

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover – I was in a Hoover kind of mood.

Pawn by Aimeé Carter – I LOVED her Goddess Test series and I want to listen to Pawn. Soon.

Complete Nothing by Kieran Scott  – I didn’t requested this one so it’s a nice surprise.  I still have to read the first book in the series though.

The Unhappening of Genesis Lee by ShalleeMcArthur – This cover is so pretty and the premise is very unique.

Strange Skies by Kristi Helving  – I enjoyed Burn Out and this is the second book in the series,  I can’t wait to dig in.

A Wicked Thing by Rhiannon Thomas – I love fairy tales!  Isn’t this cover to die for?

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard – Sound to pure awesomeness!

Made for You by Melissa Marr – I received this one for a Blog Tour next month.

perfect for you

Perfect for You by Ashelyn Drake – I received this one for a blog tour as well.  Sounds very good.

Thanks to HarperTeen, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Orion, Egmont, NetGalley and Edelweiss for these!

  1. Colleen Hoover! Have you not read Hopeless???? I love it but it’s so damn sad. I tried to listen to the audio again a few months ago and couldn’t finish it 🙁

Those Harper books are so pretty, I’m so excited for them. Enjoy your books and congratulations on your husbands almost retirement. School started here in AZ on August 4th, some schools even started the last week of July…

I haven’t! I will do my best to listen to the audio book and I hope I can get through it!

Puerto Rico is like that, classes start the first week of August and end in mid May.

  2. So many goodies!! Gotta love C. Hoover. 🙂 I just finished Perfect For You and enjoyed it. Hope you don’t mind love triangles. I don’t, but anyone who isn’t a fan would surely HATE this book. I thought it was very realistic and hit a little close to home, honestly. Enjoy your new books! 🙂

  3. LOL I didn’t realize it was tax-free week here until yesterday. So, I promptly went out today and SHOPPED. New clothes for the win! Though moving in to my apartment at school in a week and a half… should be fun. HA.

I also have Strange Skies, A Wicked Thing, and Red Queen! I haven’t read any of them yet though. Hopefully in the next couple of months 😀

I really liked Pawn and Hopeless! Same with The Maze Runner, though I never finished the series. Might see the movie 🙂

I hope you enjoy all of your new books! Thanks for visiting my blog!
