Covert Operations 101

Most people know the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women as a school for the elite--manicured lawns, limo-lined driveway, and the best faculty in the country. But they have no idea what really goes on behind the ivy, or what the brochures mean by "exceptional"--that the Gallagher Academy is actually a highly classified school for spies.

The Gallagher Girls may be prodigies in espionage, but there are some mysteries even a genius I.Q. and serious combat skills can't help solve--like how to keep your heart undercover....

Join CIA legacy Cammie Morgan and her fellow spies-in-training as they take their covert talents from the classroom to the field.

5 Stars

I decided to change it up today and review a series because I NEED TO PUSH IT ON PEOPLE.

If you recall, I recently reviewed the first book in this series (like last month ago or something) but since then I’ve binged this series and I’m here to report that it’s AWESOME. Disregard the first book, I mean, don’t disregard it but don’t give up after it because it becomes AMAZING.

Every problem that I had in the first one is fixed by the third book (most of them are fixed in the second one). They grow up. They don’t act stupid. The ROMANCE IS OTP. Cammie’s awesome. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME.

Real quick, a break down of the books:

I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You: 3.75 stars, you know how I feel about this.

Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy: 5 stars. ALL THE STARS FOR INTRODUCING US TO ZACH. The rest of the plot is great too.

Don’t Judge a Girl by Her Cover: 5 stars. Incredibly clever and it sets up a lot that is coming. Great development, left me on the edge of my seat.

Only the Good Spy Young: 5 stars. Crap happens. All of the crap, all of the time. This might be my favorite book of the series?

Out of Sight, Out of Mind: 5 stars. Scratch that, this might be my favorite one. Wow. Ally earned her keep with this one. WOW. Cammie. What she went through. WOW. WOW. I’ve never loved her more. Her character is great.

United We Spy: 5 stars. tears, people, they’re real. they happened.

I mentioned OTP and oh my goodness. I swooned so much in this series, seriously, more than I swoon in some contemps. The way that these two grow together and their struggles… I don’t think I’ll ever get over them (thus the OTP status).

Each book had a great story line but what I was really impressed with was how everything tied together. Really impressive. Really great.

I don’t even know what to say about this series, people. I loved All Fall Down but I don’t know if I can ever love anything she writes more than this.

I’m sad. It’s over. Read it.

  1. I need to read the last two books in this series! But yes, Zach and Cammie are amazing! I love them! Which is why I love the second book so much when he gets introduced. And then at the end of that book when he goes to her, dips her and says “I always finish what I start.” Major swoon!!!! I love him. I know there’s a new book, well a novella. I forgot the name *searches on Goodreads* aha found it. A Gallagher Wedding. Idk where to get it though. It’s not on Amazon so I don’t know :/

    • I STILL GO BACK AND REREAD ZACH AND CAMMIE SCENES FROM THE SECOND BOOK! I wish there was that much of Zach in every book! (I’m terribly excited because I haven’t been able to talk to anyone who loves them!) Major swoons! He’s such a swoony character and I will never get over him. Like ever. In the fifth book he says my (and Ally’s) favorite line ever! You have to read it! I did read the Wedding thing (I read it athttp://hidingbehindalegend.tumblr.com/post/61808055943/more) , it was nice. I haven’t read Double Crossed or something because it has characters from her Heist Society books and I haven’t read them yet.

Thanks for replying and allowing me to fangirl with someone! I meet Ally tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited!

I was wondering if you finished re-reading the series Valerie. I’m glad that you loved it still. I’ve had the first book in audio since forever, I really need to read it, I just need a longer day!

    • Haha, understandable! I really loved it and I get to meet Ally TOMORROW! I’m pumped. I don’t know how I’m gonna talk to her, I’m gonna be a rambling and complimenting mess.

    • I think I might have read the first book of Heist Society in high school but I can’ remember. I love LOVING books, it’s such a great feeling. I hope that you like them! I’m still hung over from GG but when I can, I’m gonna read the Heist books.
