Mirror Mirror is a brand-new feature that replaces the old Stacking The Shelves/Weekly Recap posts. Bieke decided to make her own original feature because it was more than just a STS or recap post.

New on my Shelves!

For review

~ The Truth by Jeffry W. Johnston | It sounds fantastic!
~ River of Ink by Paul M. M. Cooper | Not gonna lie, I requested this mostly for the cover, but it sounds great!
~ Raining Embers by Jessica Dall | The author promised me teens with powers, which is my weakness and I can’t refuse books that feature them, so…
~ An Infinite Number of Parallel Universes by Randy Ribay | Found this one this week & I didn’t actually expect to be approved for this one so close to release!

Untitled 7

Won

~ This One Moment by Mila Gray | Hurrah for winning signed books!

Untitled 11

Purchased

~ Carry On by Rainbow Rowell | I mean… Of course I got this.
~ The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan | I promised several people to read a RR book & I chose this one. It was awesome and hilarious.

In my life

~ I Halloween-ified my Twitter name! Now I feel cool. And scary. Yes yes.
~ I signed up for NaNoWriMo. My goal is to write the first draft of my contemporary book then! Huzzah! That means I’m gonna try to read a lot this month so I have more time for writing in November.
~ I’m failing horribly at halloween month, but hey! At least I’m reading.
~ I’m considering doing a post for the TV-shows The Flash and Arrow every two weeks. Would anyone be interested in that?
~ I read my first Rick Riordan book! *gasp* Yes, I loved it. Yes I will read more in the future.

Untitled 5

~ V.E. Schwab signed a four-book deal at Tor! Among those four books are two sequels! One is the third book in the Shades of Magic series and the other one is the long-awaited sequel to Vicious, aka the book gods answered my prayers! Huzzah!

~ Did you know the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas is optioned for TV? No? You do now! YAAAY! Read more here!

~ Stephenie Meyer announced her new book, which is her old book… A genderswapped version of Twilight, introducing Beau (Bella) and Edythe (Edward). Honestly… I don’t see the point of this. Tell me what the point is, please. Cause to me this just looks like a cashgrab from an author who hasn’t published anything in years and is likely out of original ideas. Read more here. After reading it, I really don’t see the point of it. It’s exactly the same. My review/rant will be up next week.

~ The official synopsis for X-men: Apocalypse is revealed! Read it here.

~ Marvel announced the sequel to Ant-man and some new dates. More info here.

~ Disney’s Moana casts its lead actress! The role went to the fourteen year-old named Auli’i Cravalho, who was chosen after an exhaustive search that included hundreds of people from across the Pacific Islands. Click here to see her reaction when she gets the news! So excited for this movie!

  1. Let’s see… I haven’t read any books by Rowell (let that sink in and don’t shoot me!) You are full of news! I’m so happy that I have you to keep me informed *sigh* Good luck with NaNoWriMo, I’m sure you’ll do great!

I read Riordan’s Percy Jackson series and it was great! I ordered this one though and given your review, I know you liked it too 🙂

  2. I AM IN LOVE WITH THE LADY MIDNIGHT COVER. <3 I need that book so so badly, omg, why is it not out yet, I NEEEEED IT. *hyperventilates*
I still don't really understand why Stephanie Meyer published fanfic for her own novel. o.O Why didn't she write a spin-off Twilight series? That would've been cool and I feel like it would've been more exciting and drawn in new fans…then she could've done a boy loving a girl vampire. ZOMG WHY DOES NO ONE CONSULT ME ABOUT THESE THINGS. I HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS OBVIOUSLY. *nods*
I want to read Carry On so bad! XD

    • RIGHT?? It’s so pretty!
& yeah, why didn’t she write anything new? Fans are begging for it! Everyone should consult you, obviously.
