In My Life

June went by so quickly! Actually, the whole year has been flying by fast. And yet, I’m kinda still where I was at the start of it. Which kind of makes me sad… But anyway… The second half of 2017 will hopefully bring some change. Positive change. Since I start a new mental health treatment at the hospital on Monday. I’m very nervous and anxious about it but hopefully it’ll go well?

I also finally did a tiny bit of writing this past month, which made me SO happy! I’m working on a queer, genderbent retelling of Rapunzel. So far it’s a lot of fun to work on and the main characters are my favorites. More on that later!

Other things that happened:

~ I went to see Wonder Woman, which was fabulous!

~ I got hooked on Pinterest! Find the link to my profile in the sidebar. Show me some love?

~ Due to mental health struggles, I kinda failed at blogging the past two weeks. Sorry!

So what’s new with you this week?

Bee (born as Bieke) is 27 years old and from Belgium. (No she won't send waffles.) She's a strange, nerdy and anxious creature floating around somewhere on the ace spectrum. Oh, and she also writes books as Nelly B. Jones. Or tries to anyway. You can also find her on Novel Ink.

  1. Good luck with your new treatment. I hope it is fantastic and helpful. I also get really nervous and anxious about new things. I still haven’t seen Wonder Woman. I feel kinda lame that my mom (who lives under a rock) has seen it and I haven’t.

To start off, Happy Canada Day! I am not familiar with these books but hope you love them. I hope your treatment goes well. I see my doctor again in a few weeks, at the hospital again. I understand if your nervous. Seeing doctors makes me nervous unless I can report the problem is fixed, whatever it is. Which of course, I can’t right now. Speaking of which, I had a small seizure last week, so neurologically, I am a little off. Here is a story to put a smile on your face (maybe?) Starlings have made a nest under our eve. The past several weeks three times now a starling has flown down our chimney and my cats are eagerly trying to figure out how to get this fireplace to open up and give them a bird! (We let the birds go outside again). They are taking the fireplace apart…did I mention one of my cats knows how to work skewers?

  3. My co-blogger loved Daughter of the Burning City. I have to stay off Pinterest, because once I start pinning, I can’t stop. So many lost hours spent there. Good luck with your treatment. Fingers crossed!

  4. I hope everything goes well with your new treatment. I get really nervous and anxious about trying new things sometimes too. And there is no need to apologize for taking a little break from blogging to take care of yourself. You are always more important.

I STILL haven’t seen Wonder Woman! I really need to tho. I’ve never really been a huge fan of her comics but so many people have been raving about the movie and telling me I need to see it.

I can’t wait to see what you think of Daughter of the Burning City! That was one of my Waiting on Wednesday picks! It sounds so good and completely different. Hope you enjoy your new books and have a great weekend!
