{Mirror Mirror} Liza’s Updates and a (I’ve been blogging for six years) Giveaway

Mirror Mirror is our feature that replaces the old Stacking The Shelves/Weekly Recap posts. Bieke decided to make her own original feature because it was more than just a STS or recap post.

Life, News & Happenings

Hi there gorgeous readers!  I hope you are enjoying the weather because summer is finally here 🙂

I know you are probably tired of reading about me being busy, so I won’t bore you with the details. Anyway, I spent mos of the week in DC due to a conference, which is good and not good.  On one hand, I get to rest a bit in the evening and on the other hand, I miss my boys and work just piles up back in the office.

My mom is coming the day after my wedding anniversary to stay with us for a few weeks before the rest of the family comes from Puerto Rico.  Needless to say, I’m in a cleaning mode and the boys are hiding from me somewhere in the house.

Stacking the Shelves

Purchased for Kindle

Sons of Ares #1 by Pierce Brown, Rik Hoskin and Eli Powell – I LOVE the Red Rising series and I can’t wait to read this graphic novel based on Brown’s world.

Perfectly Oblivious by Robin Daniels – This book sounds like so much fun, I love when a couple starts as friends first.

The Gamble by LaVyrle Spencer – If you have never read a book by LaVyrle Spenser do yourself a favor and read at least one.  A lot of them are historical romances and few contemporaries (well, she hasn’t written anything in years and the ‘contemporaries’ are outdated now) and they are SO good.  I’m trying to buy all her buys a little at a time, The Gamble is one of my favorites.

Review

So I Married a Sorcerer by Kerrelyn Sparks – I loved How to Tame a Beast in Seven Days and this is the second book in the series.  Can’t wait!

Dragons of Nova by Elise Kova – I’m reading this one right now and it’s amazing so far…

Six years ago (in May) I started blogging.  For those of you that are new to Quite a Novel Idea, Bee and Rachel had their own blog and I had “Reading with ABC’ and we decided to merge them about a year and a half ago.  I feel that I’ve been blogging for a long time now and that, even though the community has changed, I still love to do it.  To celebrate my six years of blogging, here’s a giveaway for you 🙂
