Last Post of the Year! What to Expect in 2015

Posted December 20, 2014 by Bee in Other / 14 Comments

2014 has been quite the year! Istyria book blog keeps growing and I keep meeting new awesome people to talk books with.  This week I did the End of Year Survey from The Perpetual Page-Turner (which you should all do too!) and I made my Top 14 of 2014. But 2015 promises to be even more awesome! So what can you expect here on Istyria book blog next year?

New Design!

Hazel (Stay Bookish) has made a beautiful new blog design for Istyria book blog. I want to keep everything a surprise but I’ll give you this tiny piece of the header as a sneak peek. If everything goes as planned, the new design will be up by the time my hiatus is over.

New Features!

With a new design come new features! Two to be specific. The first will replace my weekly recap/STS posts. It’s called Mirror Mirror. To know more about this feature and what to expect from it, you can go here. The second one is called From Page to Screen and I literally will be going from page to screen and talk about movies, TV shows, anime, … All that good stuff! You will also be able to submit topics for discussion like you can with Bookish Babble so if there is a movie/TV-show/anime/… you’d like me to feature in From Page to Screen, you can go to the feature page over here. Here are the new banners for these two features!

BEA15

Yes, I’ll probably be in NY at the end of May next year. With my best friend Stephanie of course. I could never survive out there without her. Of anywhere for that matter. But I’ll talk more about that in the future.

My hopes for 2015

I hope to find even more bookish friends. I hope to find a job. And I hope that 2015 will become the best year of my life so far. Simple, right?

A huge THANK YOU too:

~ My best friend Stephanie, without whom I’d be lost in this world.
~ The following blogging friends: Ashley (Nose Graze), Becca & Lisa (Lost in Literature), Liza (Reading with ABC), Giselle (Xpresso Reads), Celine, Melanie & Larissa (YA Midnight Reads), Aimee (Deadly Darlings), Laura (Laura Plus Books), Nick (Nick’s Book blog) and Mel (The Daily Prophecy). And probably a bunch more that I’m forgetting. I love you all!!
~ All the publishers & authors that let me review their books! I read a lot of awesome books this year and most of them I got you guys so thank you!~ All my followers and friends on Social Media. My blog would not be what it is today without all of you.

That’s it, see you next year!

I will be back January 5th! I will not disappear from the blogging world, I’ll keep commenting on a lot of post and be active in the community, I just won’t be posting anything the next two weeks. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Bye!

Bee

Bee (born as Bieke) is 26 years old and from Belgium. (No she won't send waffles.) She's a strange, nerdy and anxious creature floating around somewhere on the ace spectrum. Oh, and she also writes books as Nelly B. Jones. Or tries to anyway. You can also find her on Novel Ink.

  1. Wow Bee! That header looks so gorgeous so far. I can’t wait to see the rest. I’m also incredibly excited to see the new features, Hazel did a great job. That’s exciting about BEA! I’m hoping to go when it’s in Chicago.

We can totes be bookish friends if you want. I also hope to find a job. And hope 2015 will be a great year. Have a great hiatus. 🙂
