If there are only three truths in life, they are these. Women will always try to change a man. Men will always say anything to get a girl in bed. Tyler Mason will always have a long line of girls trying to domesticate him, and none will succeed. If one of these ceases to be true, the world will cease to exist.

These are the rules as college student Cassie Faye knows them, so when she gives up on dating in favor of a man who can satisfy her without tempting her heart, her next-door neighbor Tyler tops the list. Tyler isn’t the type of boy Cassie would fall for, but he’s the perfect guy to teach her how to claim her sexual independence without losing her heart in the process. Too late, Cassie finds out that under his womanizing exterior is an attentive, considerate lover who brings out passions in her that she'd barely glimpsed before.

What if she’s wrong about the third truth? What if the world as she knows it is about to cease to exist?

I received this book for free from the publisher or author in exchange for an honest review.

5 Stars

All right, so it’s no big secret of mine that I don’t often read contemporary, because mostly I just end up being disappointed in them. However … that was definitely not the case with Summer’s Temptation. I loved every single thing about it, from the very first sentence to the last.

I love how Cassie is so “real” I guess you can call it. And I love the way the girls (Cassie, Liz and Hannah) interact with each other. And can I say that I love the sex shop scene at the very beginning of the book? LOL, I couldn’t help but laugh a bit, because I did not expect the book to start like that.

And btw, I demand, I get my own damn Tyler Mason! The way Ashley describes him makes me wanna jump his bones right of the pages of the book. It’s not fair, damnit! He’s just too delicious to resist, even if he is just a character.

As for the story, what can I say that, probably, already hasn’t been said? It was good, it really was. It was a bit different too, what with the way Cassie decided to do things in the end, which is all Liz’s fault for putting the idea in Cassie’s head in the first place, anyway. And seeing as I don’t like spoilers, I won’t any further then that on the story and plot itself.

But the romance! Ooooooh baby the romance, was smokin’ hot! I couldn’t stop reading all the smexy, smexy scenes. And I love the chemistry between Cassie and Tyler. They just fit so damn well together!

Also I added one of my favourite quotes from the book, which I’ve never done before, but I just couldn’t help myself, I just love this quote, it gives a fantastic view of the chemistry between Cassie and Tyler 😀 .

“It’s like… it’s like I’m the only woman in the world for him. I’m the only one he wants to make love to. The way he worships me for hours, taking me to places I’ve never been, it’s as if he’s thanking me for making him experience things he’s never felt. I love that I can drive him wild with a kiss or a caress or a whispered word.”

Okay, so anything else I could add? Hmm, probably not, except that Ashley Lynn Willis, is an author who did the impossible. Thanks to her and Summer’s Temptation, I am now a Contemporary genre convert! And I am lovin’ it! Oh and also I love Freddy and Philospher Dan and I hope to see them in Autumn’s Fall again as well!
