In Which Bee Returns From Being MIA & Explains Why She Disappeared

Posted August 24, 2017 by Bee in Personal / 4 Comments

Hello my darlings!

Yes, it’s me, dear old Bee. Back from being MIA for the past… almost two months? Yeesh, it’s been a while. But I’m trying to make my comeback now. I might still post a bit irregularly at times, but I’m trying my hardest to give you guys some content from yours truly once more. But first, let me explain what’s been going on, okay? This post will be cross-posted on Novel Ink because I’m lazy and I don’t want to make two different posts for the same thing…

So, many of you don’t know this, but at the start of July I began a new treatment at the hospital. It’s something that we have here in Belgium called the Multifunctional Psychotherapeutic Outpatient treatment. It’s a 12-week program that’s 4 days a week from 9am to 4pm and contains multiple forms of group therapy as well as  individual therapy. It’s been intense and sometimes I was too tired in the evening to do anything, let alone blogging. BUT I did gain a few good friends and obtained some new labels because that’s what life is all about, isn’t it? (Not really…)

In case you’re interested, I was unofficially diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder as well as Avoidant Personality Disorder. I also figured out I’m grey-romantic and Ace. Which has nothing to do with the therapy, but I wanted to mention it. Because Ace and Aro pride, yay!

I’m so sorry I’ve been so absent but I’m going to try to come back. Also endless thanks to my co-bloggers, who were so amazing and supportive during this time. I love you girls!

Now let me know what you’ve all been up to! Shout at me in the comments!

Bee (born as Bieke) is 27 years old and from Belgium. (No she won't send waffles.) She's a strange, nerdy and anxious creature floating around somewhere on the ace spectrum. Oh, and she also writes books as Nelly B. Jones. Or tries to anyway. You can also find her on Novel Ink.

I hope your feeling better now. My mental health was pretty messed up a few years ago due to a perfect storm of issues some medication side effects…which were frightening. I am better now, not perfect, but better and we can all get better. I am still finished up my history course (yes I am working in the summer, again). I had a small seizure in July and saw my doctor a few times. I found a few good blogs on Novel Ink is really good for diverse reads. I went to a art show with my Mom a few weeks ago. By the way, my Mom is a artist, but she didn’t have any work in the gallery this time, but it was fun. Otherwise, not much has happened to me. Welcome back:)

Actually, you have a pretty good health care system in Belgium and I could probably benefit from it if we had something like that here in Canada. But if you ever need to talk, you can always email me. I understand very well mental health can take a lot of effort to deal with.
