Armchair BEA 2014: Wrap-up!

Posted May 31, 2014 by Bee in Special Events / 12 Comments

Since I can’t go to BEA in New York, I decided to sign up for Armchair BEA this year! I was too late for it last year, but this year I’m in! So this week’s post will be all about Armchair BEA! This is the wrap-up post, so let’s see what I talked about this week!

Day #1: Introduction

On day 1I answered 5 questions from the list the organizers of Armchair BEA gave on their website! It was hard to choose 5, but I think I chose the right ones.

Day #2: Author Interaction

On day 2 I talked about Author Interaction! I showed you guys some pictures of what I’ve received from authors so far and in what ways I talk and interact with authors.

Day #3: Expanding Blogging Horizons & Novella’s/Short Stories

On day 3 I talked about how I expanded my blogging horizons by moving to wordpress and giving my blog a new look! I also talked about my own writing and shared my favorite novella: The Little Android by Marissa Meyer.

Day #4: Beyond the Borders & Giveaway!

On day 4 I talked about diversity in books! I shared my first real ‘diversity’ book and my current favorites. Plus I hosted a giveaway which you can still enter! Just click on the title of the post.

Day #5: Middle Grade/Young Adult & Topic of Choice: Book-to-Movie Adaptions

On the last and 5th day I shared my top 3 YA Fantasy/Sci-Fi series and talked ab out about book-to-Movie adaptions in the YA/Middle Grade genre.

And that’s it! It was a lot of fun participating in this and I was among the winners of the first Instagram Challenge! I’m definitely signing up again next year if I can’t make it to BEA itself!

Did you participate in Armchair BEA? Did you have fun?

I’ve had so much fun visiting all the blogs on Armchair BEA. This is my first year and I’ve had such a good time that I plan to come back next time. I’ve added a ton of books to my TBR list as well as added a lot of book friends on twitter, goodreads, and bloglovin. Thank you so much for participating and making it a great first year for me.
